A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HER:

Ella Canela is what we would call an incredible and gentle soul. She's our peaceful little girl! She loves to hang out with her fur friends and just chill in the grass. She is always really happy to go on adventures and walks great on leash (or off leash!). Because she is incredibly sweet, she gets along with everyone. When it's dinner time, you'll probably see her do her little happy dance as she loves to have a full belly. She's a really special dog that has been through a lot but keeps on showing how amazing and loving she is.

HER STORY:

When we found Ella Canela, she was really skinny and her legs were incredibly swollen. Our vets had never seen anything like this before. After a lot of tests, X-Rays, and vet consultations, we learnt she was suffering from a rare condition caused by parasites called Spirocerca lupi. After weeks of treatment, she's finally free from it! Looking at her now, you would never be able to tell what she's been through. She is perfectly healthy but it will be important to get X-rays once a year to make sure her spine and legs are okay.
